Summer is filled with activities at Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort and we’ve been anxiously waiting for the 23rd of June to get here, in order to celebrate Saint John’s Eve with you once again! This is a magical night filled with rituals and celebration around bonfires and by the water, with the hopes of attracting love, good luck and leaving behind bad omens.
For this reason, we want to celebrate Saint John’s Eve for the second year in a row, with a special evening that will be shared with VAPF workers and Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort residents alike. We hope over the years to turn this into an annual tradition. Will you come celebrate and help us turn this Saint John’s Eve into an unforgettable night?
The event will take place at Restaurante La Cumbre and much fun is sure to be had by all! We’ll have dinner along with music and a festive atmosphere, we can’t wait to see you there! When you write to us, just let us know your contact and the number of people in your party. In the next few days we will respond with information to let you know the menu, price, time, and some of the surprises we have planned. We’ll save a few of them for the big night though!

The best place to enjoy great Mediterranean cooking is Restaurant La Cumbre, situated in the Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort. With over 25 years of experience, they have always offered some delicious dishes which follow the traditions of the Costa Blanca’s best recipes. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 13:00-16:00 and from 19:00-22:30.

The restaurant can adapt the summer menu to the tastes of its guests, offering a vegetarian version, vegan version, or a version adapted for any intolerance. It is available every day.
Additionally, in the summer months you can enjoy the terrace at the Restaurant La Cumbre: take a dip in the large pool, sunbathe on the loungers, or sample the cocktails or appetisers while you enjoy the restaurant’s views.
The staff at the restaurant can attend to guests in several languages, and also offer the menu in Spanish, English, French, Russian, and German. Their main priority is for all guests to feel at home and to enjoy the best Mediterranean food.

Living in the Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort is a paradise for the senses. It is the ideal place to enjoy the house you’ve always wanted – high-quality materials and design, and spectacular sea views which are sure to leave a lasting impression.
If you want to make the most of the summer like never before, while discovering the culture and activities on offer both in Benitatxell and the neighbouring towns, today we bring you a list of events close to the Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort that you won’t want to miss.
During the summer months, Benitatxell offers a wide variety of activities: both cultural and related to nature. Firstly, in July and August, you can go on a guided walk: one full tour on which you’ll be able to learn about the history of the area, which takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays at 9am; or another, which runs along the cliff, on Friday afternoons. Both routes are two and a half hours long.
Secondly, in Benitatxell, every Wednesday in August there will be a cinema screening in the Plaza de la Iglesia at 10pm: see the schedule here.
For wine lovers, there’s the unique experience of collecting Muscat grapes with your own hands while observing the sunset from the vineyards, before bringing the day to an end with a delicious al fresco dinner made using products from this region. These routes take place in English, Spanish, and Valencian.
If you’re a fan of the sea, don’t miss the 23rd Open Water Swim in the Puerto de Moraira on the 29th July. You can either take part or simply enjoy the swim as a spectator: it starts at the El Portet beach at 9:30am, with different categories from Youth to Master Plus.
In Moraira, from the 9th to the 12th August, there will also be a medieval market where you can find traditional and artisan products.
For those searching for a sports-related plan, in August there’s the tournament organised by the Javea Tennis Club, of which VAPF is a sponsor.
A unique event that’s full of light and colour is the Castell de l’Olla, a firework display which takes place on the 11th August in Altea. Enjoy the explosion of colour to the rhythm of the music and against the backdrop of the sea and night sky. This is a unique event which has been going on almost 30 years, becoming a tradition in the area.
Lastly, there are several events for you to enjoy in Cumbre del Sol: in July there’s the Belgian National Day on the 21st, and the Classic Car Rally on the 29th. See you there!

If you want to enjoy a unique and magical Saint John’s Eve, come to celebrate it at Chiringuito Cala de Moraig. Take advantage of the occasion to get together with friends and family, or to celebrate this magical night getting to know your neighbours in the Cumbre del Sol Residential Resort. We hope to see you here with us on the evening of the 23rd June to enjoy a wonderful dinner with sea views, to dance, and to unwind as you listen to the sound of the waves.
As the longest day of the year, Saint John’s Eve is one of summer’s most magical times – so there’s no excuse not to go out and enjoy it. This is also the very first Saint John’s Eve to be celebrated at Chiringuito Cala de Moraig.
If you don’t want to miss this spectacular event, come to spend it with us at Chiringuito Cala de Moraig. The event will begin at 8:00pm with a welcome drink and a gift. An hour later, at 9:00pm, dinner will be served. There will be the following dishes to share:
Goat’s cheese salad with duck ham
Smoked cod served on a bed of tomato
Grilled calamari with green sauce
For the main course, attendees can choose from:
Fresh tuna with vegetables
Iberian sirloin with mushroom sauce
And, for dessert, there is:
Tiramisu
Seasonal fruits.
Water and half a bottle of wine (Rueda White, Navarra Rosé, or Sangre de Toro Red) are also included. After dinner, at 11pm, the dance will begin, before we add the final touch to this magical night with a toast at midnight.
To make this event even more special, there’s also a dress code: to dress in white. In many places this is considered a ritual while in others, it has become a tradition.
Given that the maximum capacity is 80 people, attendees will need to make an advance payment of 40 euros per person. We recommend booking your place as soon as possible either at Chiringuito Cala de Moraig, or via bank transfer. Request our account details at the email address com@yater.es to make your payment. To book your place, it will also be necessary to send the names of the attendees and their choice of main course in the same email. Moraig Cove
Moraig Cove regains its blue flag, an award that was first obtained in 2013 and -with the exception of 2015- has maintained during all these years.
This is definitely a great reward for all the effort made to preserve the optimal conditions of the area in a year in which the regulations were more demanding than usual and with a very strict directive of fresh water and wastewater treatment.
Spain continues to lead this flag awarded by the ADEAC-FEE (Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor – Foundation for Environmental Education), which takes in consideration the quality of the waters, services and facilities, environmental information and education, environmental management and safety. Valencian Region leads the ranking of awarded flags with 129 flags, 64 of them in the province of Alicante.
