The most basic of life’s necessities, food, health and personal care are all covered thanks to the shopping centre Las Adelfas. With a large supermarket, covering a surface area of 1200m2, it has a wide range of fresh produce, and stocks both national and international products, open from Monday to Saturday all week. The mall also boasts a medical clinic, a pharmacy, a beauty clinic and companies offering maintenance and rental services for the residential homes.

Gastronomic tastes are amply catered for with several bars and restaurants in Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol.  There are up to six options to choose from where you can have a great time out as you savour the best of the Costa Blanca’s traditional cusine. For example, if you prefer a family atmosphere, try Restaurante La Cumbre, you’ll love it. For a full dining experience, the Hipica Cañada del Sol is your best choice. However, if you’re looking for a menu with plenty of variety, try a meal at Acantilados del Sol.

And if we’re talking about basic services, you will also have your children’s education ensured. The international college The Lady Elizabeth School is a private educational centre where the teaching is all in English, all year round. And VAPF has signed a collaboration agreement with VAPF offering discounts to new-build homebuyers whose children will be attending the Lady Elizabeth School.

Entertainment and leisure at Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol naturally includes sport.  With the sports facilities continuously developing and improving, there is many sporting activities available all year round. One of the most striking of these is the riding school. The Hipica Cañada del Sol offers a number of local horse-riding excursions all year round, including a visit to the Granadella Natural Park. And on top of all that, there are plenty of other horsy activities such as riding lessons, livery services and a children’s farm.

With the sea just a few metres away, diving in the waters near Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol is one of the most popular activities in the area thanks to the quality of the water and the marine depths.  Moraig beach is an example, and there you will find the “Cova dels Arcs” a cave where the subterranean Riu Blanc river flows into the sea.

And finally, there’s paddle, the sport that has really created a community at Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol. Our paddle courts are famous in the area and host tournaments all the time. The next one will be held from  5 to 8 August. With women’s, men’s and mixed doubles, it costs just 20€ to take part.

At Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol you won’t have time to be bored. In fact, you can indulge all your gastronomic, sporting or social tendencies without even having to leave our facilities. We’re here waiting for you!

The good weather is here, and you can sense it all over! Both for the extra degrees and because some Covid-19 restrictions have been relaxed. This means that there will be more options for leisure activities for the coming weeks and months in our surroundings.

At Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol an event begins this weekend that we are especially excited about. This Saturday, May 15th, the S.P.D. Cumbre del Sol tennis school will be inaugurated! Although, for security reasons, the opening ceremony will be held online. The good news is that during the next week the courts will be open for you to test them out for free.

We have worked for a long time to design and create four unique tennis courts in our complex. And most importantly, at the school, each court will overlook the Mediterranean. Undoubtedly, it’s a unique space where you can practice this sport! In addition, while learning tennis you will have a team of professionals by your side who stand out for their enthusiasm and optimism. Bring out the player in you! The whole team is waiting for you this Saturday on their Facebook page where they will do a Live at 10h (UTC+2). And all next week on the courts. As we want to make it comfortable for you to come and play on the courts, you don’t need to bring any equipment. The facilities are fully equipped and at your disposal.

And we have more good news! During the month of May, we also have cultural activities for you. The glamping Dreamsea Mediterranean Camp, at Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol, organizes a live concert every Saturday. And it does so by joining one of the trends that has spread the most in the last year: afternoon meet-ups. These events will start at 17:00 p.m., so you can accompany them with tapas, a snack or even a drink. You decide!

The line-up? On Saturday, the 15th, The Rhythm Syncopators will take the stage. On the 22nd, rock comes to Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol with Pau Monteagudo. He has been on the scene since the 90’s with his band Uzzhuaia. Currently he continues to stand out in the music scene with his new band, Corazones Eléctricos.

And to send off May and welcome the summer month of June, the guest on May 29th will be Dj Ferro. This Portuguese artist will bring a fresh style to Residential Resort Cumbre del Sol. And he will do it with a sound that mixes techno and electro. If you fancy one of these concerts, move quickly! Places are limited, so reserve your table and mark that day on your calendar. You can make your reservation by calling +34 662 579 994.

The next competition will be in August –between the 5th and the 8th– and in this case there will be three categories for men and three for women, and only one mixed category. Are you interested? Social Distancing Activities: Leisure Ideas for the Coming Weeks

Social Distancing Activities: Leisure Ideas for the Coming Weeks

With the latest travel restrictions and hotel closures throughout the Community of Valencia, you may be wondering what activities you can do in your free time. Don’t worry, because the calendar for the next few weeks is filled with fun activities all without having to leave Cumbre del Sol! Who said they were bored?!

“Foto Dona” Photography Contest

March 8th, International Women’s Day, is just around the corner. And, as usual, many activities are celebrated with the aim of recognising women’s role in society. One of them is the Foto Dana photography contest, organised by the City Council of Benitachell.

Interested in participating? Take a photo of one or more women at any moment in their lives, and if they are from Benitachell, even better! Of course, don’t forget that they must be of legal age. Do you already have an idea of who you’d like to feature? Move quickly; you have until February 19th to participate!

III Micropoetry “El Poble Nou en Vers” Contest

Continuing with our suggestions for cultural activities, we invite you to participate in the III Micropoetry “El Poble Nou en Vers” Contest. Bring out your inner poet and get into writing!

There are two categories: one for adults and one for those under 16. In both cases, you can submit up to 3 micropoems that are between 4 and 6 verses. And remember to submit it before March 5. Put on your creative hat and start thinking about what your poems are going to be about!

The Technological ADL Activities

The Technological ADL program organised by Creama Xàbia seeks to promote the digitization of companies through free training. During the coming weeks there are many events that have been organized as part of this program. From motivational interviews to sessions to learn how to create your own podcast or communicate through video call applications. Find the scheduling here.

Activities for children under 16

Among the leisure activities we are suggesting, there are plenty of options for the youngest members of the family! Let them bring out their most creative side with the “Storytelling Mascot” contest. To participate they will have to write a story that takes place in the streets of Benitachell and whose protagonist is one of the library’s mascots.

If the little ones prefer reading to writing, the library also organises a “Reading Challenge 2021“. What is the objective they will have to meet? Read a book a month and record a video of themselves talking about it. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?

Enjoy with all these proposals for social distancing activities that we suggest for the coming weeks! Staying at home doesn’t have to be boring. And remember to keep a close eye on our blog and our Instagram and Facebook profiles so you don’t miss anything.

Winter is the perfect season to enjoy different outdoor activities with lower temperatures and less people than the summer brings. There are activities for all tastes and just a few kilometres from your home. You can stay around Cumbre del Sol and play a game of tennis or paddle, go for a horse ride or even go hiking on one of the many trails to discover the coast or the Granadella Natural Park. If you’ve already soaked up everything that Cumbre del Sol has to offer and you want to live new adventures, you can always explore the regions of Marina Alta, Marina Baixa and l’Alacantí.

Discover the history of these three regions of the province of Alicante by visiting the most symbolic towns. You can start by conquering the tallest mountains in the region, set new challenges by practicing extreme sports or admire the beauty of nature and the sea by following the different trails that pass through some of the natural parks or along the coast.  Living on the Costa Blanca gives you a unique opportunity to enjoy both the mountains and the sea.

In addition, the city of Alicante has started a new campaign to show that water sports can be done year-round. Since the end of October, Alicante’s tourism department has been organising numerous free activities that you can participate in every Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the beaches of Postiguet and San Juan until the last weekend of December. Spots are limited, so you will have to register and wait for confirmation. Finally you can try out sports such as: paddle surfing, SUP yoga, sea kayaking, surfing, bodyboarding and boot camp. On the official Alicante tourist office website you can consult the timetables, activities and registration.

As you can see, there are a lot of activities for you to enjoy alone or with your family in the region where you live, both in summer and in winter. Don’t forget to check out our blog and follow us on Facebook and Instagram so that you are always up to date about VAPF’s developments.
